
How Adelya boosts its sales teams' performance with AI
THE CHALLENGE
Our client, a B2B distributor of cleaning products, manages a catalog of over 7,000 references. For its sales teams, this extensive offering creates daily friction: it's difficult to master the characteristics of each product, and even harder to adapt a sales pitch in real-time based on the client profile (school, public institution, private company). The result: incomplete answers during meetings, a reliance on senior colleagues for technical questions, and customer advice falling short of the team's true potential.
Prior to the project, several key challenges were identified:
- Accelerate sales preparation before client meetings
- Standardize product knowledge levels within the team
- Reduce reliance on colleagues and managers for quick answers
- Integrate the tool into the existing work environment seamlessly
SOLUTION
Qolaig designed and deployed an AI sales assistant connected to Adelya's internal data, accessible from Microsoft Teams and via a dedicated interface for field teams. The objective: to give each sales representative instant access to product knowledge, without changing their tools or work habits.
01. A Sales Agent in Microsoft Teams
Qolaig deployed an AI assistant directly into the sales team's workflow tool. Through a custom-developed MCP, the agent connects in real-time to Adelya's internal proxy and their product databases and technical specifications. The sales rep asks a question in natural language, the agent retrieves the correct information and generates a written response, contextualized to the mentioned client profile. Examples of actual queries:
- “Generate a sales pitch for product X aimed at a high school.”
- “What is the difference between products X and Y?”
- “What are the key strengths to highlight when dealing with a public sector client?”
02. A dedicated interface for field teams
Qolaig developed a dedicated interface, designed for field sales representatives. It integrates a library of pre-recorded prompts corresponding to the team's recurring questions (similar products, customer history, comparisons, segmented sales pitches), connected to an MCP server also deployed by Qolaig and linked to Adelya's tools.
The goal: zero friction, no need to formulate questions from scratch. The sales rep clicks, enters a variable, and gets their answer.
RESULTS
- 3 hours per week saved per sales rep on product information research
- 7,000+ references accessible in natural language, in real-time
- Immediate adoption: no extensive training, deployed within the existing environment
RETURN ON INVESTMENT
For a team of nearly 100 sales reps saving 3 hours per week, that's 300 hours recovered each week, equivalent to 8 full-time employees. Reallocated to client-facing time, these hours represent direct potential for increased revenue. Furthermore, the solution allowed for the replacement of Microsoft Copilot licenses per sales rep, generating direct savings on software costs without compromising productivity.
