How Liora turns thousands of learning resources into instant answers with AI
CHALLENGE
Liora’s support and teaching teams faced a constant stream of learner questions, with answers scattered across internal documentation, course materials and discussion forums. Finding the right answer quickly meant searching manually through several sources at once, tying up teams on repetitive search tasks and leaving learners waiting.
Before the project, several key challenges were identified:
- Reduce the volume of requests reaching support teams
- Make information easier for learners to access
- Make effective use of the thousands of forum discussions
- Avoid manual searches across multiple knowledge bases
- Deliver fast, contextualized answers
- Build on the knowledge already produced by the teams and the community
SOLUTION
Qolaig developed a conversational assistant built on a RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architecture. It understands questions asked in natural language, retrieves the most relevant content from the entire document corpus, and returns a concise answer along with its sources.
01. A unified, searchable knowledge base
The assistant automatically indexes the learning documentation and the community forum content. Thousands of past discussions become an active resource: answers already given to similar problems are identified and reused, so existing knowledge never has to be recreated.
02. From question to answer in seconds
When a learner asks a question, the system analyzes the intent, retrieves the most relevant passages from the documentation and forums, generates a concise, contextualized answer, then displays the sources used so the learner can dig deeper. No manual searching, no waiting.
03. A semantic engine, not just a search engine
The assistant understands naturally phrased questions, with no need for exact keywords. Thanks to vector embeddings and semantic search, it finds relevant content even when the wording differs from the documentation, which is precisely the case with questions from learners who are still learning.
RESULTS
- Near-instant access to information for learners, with no manual searching
- Fewer repetitive questions reaching support teams
- Better use of the knowledge built up in the forums
- Improved learner experience thanks to contextualized, sourced answers
- More effective knowledge sharing across the Liora ecosystem
RETURN ON INVESTMENT
Every question handled manually by a support or teaching team took up skilled time on a low-value search task. By handing these searches over to an AI assistant, Liora frees its teams for high-impact coaching, leverages a knowledge base that grows richer with every interaction, and gives its learners a knowledge-access experience that matches their high expectations.
